Here's a fully set-up Kid Chameleon disasm that should work right out of the box with Tiled, allowing you to modify maps:
Download: drive.google.com/file/d/1HN4896yffRm9Q7hQA-9wElmXJ1MRbD81/view?usp=sharing
Note: If I update the Tiled extension/disasm, I won't always keep this up to date (see here how to set up everything manually to get the guaranteed latest version: kidchameleon.proboards.com/thread/7/kc-development-links).
Haven't really tested this on Windows, but I hope it works fine.
Set up
1. Download Tiled version >= 1.5 (https://www.mapeditor.org/).
2. Launch Tiled, and open the project tiled/kidchameleon.tiled-project
using Project -> Open Project from the menu.
3. If you're using Tiled >= 1.7, you will see a pop-up (top right) indicating that this project uses scripted extensions. Click "Enable extensions".
You should now be able to open the .kclv and .kclvb files from the tiled/maps folder.
I strongly recommend enabling View -> Snapping -> Snap to Grid.
After opening a map, in the View -> Views and Toolbars menu I recommend to enable (at least) Project, Issues, Properties, Tilesets, Tile stamps and Tools.
To build a ROM, run build.bat. It produces kid_built.bin which you then can run in any emulator.

(Note: You can skip the "edit commands" section of the video starting around the 50 second mark and ending around 2 minutes if you're using Tiled >= 1.5.
However, automapping rules, as shown near the end of the video, do not currently work in later versions of Tiled; use an older version of Tiled to make them work.)
